A pocket rainforest that keeps running

Collect a rainforest, one morph at a time.

A tiny pixel vivarium for the corner of your screen. Dart frogs, isopods, day geckos and mantises grow while you are away. Breed two adults, merge the duplicates, and fill a field guide of 94 real morphs.

A small loop that keeps moving:collect, grow, breed, merge.

Every resident is a real species or morph — Azureus, Blue Jeans, Rubber Ducky, Ghost, Orchid. They grow in real time, not on clicks. Adults produce dew while the tab is closed, and eggs hatch whether or not you are watching.

Breeding is a roll. Two adults cost one heart, and the offspring can be anything from the same rarity up to a mythic outlier. When the tank fills with duplicates, merge ten into one of the next rarity. Nothing is lost except the ten you chose.

Ninety-four small lives.

Five families, each drawn as a pixel sprite with its own palette, pattern, and way of moving through the tank. Some are common; a few are genuinely hard to breed.

Three things to do, then leave it alone.

Pondlet is an idle toy. The interesting part happens between sessions, not during them.

01

Start with two frogs

An Azureus and a Green & Black arrive as adults, so you can breed on the first day. The tank holds ten residents to begin with.

02

Let the tank run

Residents grow in real time. Close the tab; up to eight hours are simulated when you come back. Eggs need about three minutes.

03

Breed, merge, decorate

One heart per breeding. Ten duplicates per merge. Ornaments change the scene, never the odds. Keep the ones you like marked with a star.

Your vivarium is waiting.

Open a tank, breed one egg, and come back tomorrow. It will have changed.
